FRAZER MITCHELL - BIO

2018 - What a year for DJ / Producer / Musician Frazer Mitchell - and 2019 has already been a blast!

Headline slots at festivals, Mainstage Performances, and 2 x #1s on the Amazon Download Chart in the last 12 months - not bad going for the 25 year old!

Growing up, Frazer was always involved in live music performances, school productions, and performing solo piano and vocals. His mother, Trudy, kept record of his performances on a YouTube Channel, which had over 5,000 subscribers. His version of Snow Patrol - Run was played on BBC Radio 1, used as promotion for Leona Lewis' cover of the same song. Throughout his teens, he picked up more instruments, including guitar, bass, and drums.

After hearing Skrillex's remix of Benny Benassi's 'Cinema', Frazer Mitchell took to music production, and recording tracks for local artists. One of his first official releases, 'Holding On To', featuring JoJo Saunders, written by Adam Sanchez and Stuart Moore, saw instant radio success across the South West, including local radio stations, and BBC Introducing South West.

As soon as Frazer turned 18, he was booked to DJ in various bars, clubs, and pubs in the Yeovil, Somerset area. He was the support act for Ministry of Sound and Cream Tour Teams at Yeovil Westlands, supporting Dave Pearce and Judge Jules. Moving onto private functions, and weddings, Frazer still occasionally performs in clubs and bars, and is a regular on the South West Festival Scene, including Home Farm Fest, Yeovil Beer Fest, Hewishstock, Party In The Park Weymouth, North Dorset 7s Fest, and Anonymous Festival. Frazer also recently had a regular 2 hour radio show on Air107.2, for the 'Weekend Warmup'. In December 2018, Frazer was booked by Moonraker Events, and performed regularly throughout various Central London Hilton Hotels for the Christmas Party Season.

In 2015, Frazer founded the Antix Music Network - a platform for creative talent in Somerset, giving undiscovered talent an opportunity. Antix have been setting up performances all across the South West UK, and running events in bars, pubs, nightclubs, and festivals. In 2019, Frazer started a new venture; Jurassic Coast Records; a Music Production Record Label for acts based in Weymouth and surrounding areas.

In 2017, Frazer released a series of singles, including 'Memory', 'Turn Up The Music', 'Everyday', 'AEIOU', 'Chill As F**K' (a collaboration with vocalist and songwriter BooBoo) and 'Individual' (a remix of Michael Mayo's release). These releases provided evidence of a wide range of music production skill and ability, and also reached radio success, with 'Memory' being called an 'Absolute Banger' on BBC Introducing, and being labelled the 'Summer Banger of 2017' by music blogger India Rodgers.

In October 2018, Frazer produced a music video for Women's Pension Injustice groups and campaigns, including #WePaidInYouPayOut, and #WASPI. The music video included footage of a non-violent protest in Parliament Square, London, and a cover of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero', which featured Frazer Mitchell on production, guitar, and vocals, co-produced by Paul Harmer, and Bass supplied by Ben Eve. The video quickly went viral, and the single reached #1 on the Amazon Download Charts, and peaked at #56 on the Official Sales Chart on 2nd November 2018. You can view 'Working Class Hero' Here.

On 30th November 2018, Antix Music Network artist REA released 'Running', which features Frazer Mitchell on guitar and production.

In December 2018, Frazer was shortlisted for the 'Creative Star' award at the Rockstar Awards. In December 2018, Frazer revealed he's working on a side production project called 'Attic Fever' with DJ and Producer Connor Watling, with debut single 'Pray' soon to be released on Antix Records.

On 2nd January 19, Frazer Mitchell released details of his follow-up single, 'Star In My Eyes'. The single, featuring vocalist REA will be released on 28th January.

Throughout the summer of 2019, as well as headlining many South West Festivals, Frazer produced singles for several acts, including Asifa Lahore ('Who Am I' was the chosen anthem for Croydon Pride), Charlene Clease (reached #1 on the Amazon Download Charts in October 2019), Asha (who also charted in June 2019) as well as singles featuring Connor Watling, and Paul Harmer.

Frazer Mitchell's debut album 'Comfort & Fear' is currently in production, with some confirmed featuring acts, including Charlene Clease, Tim Fawkes, and REA.

In October 19, Frazer Mitchell & Connor Watling supported Dave Pearce in Yeovil Westlands.

In May 2020, Frazer Mitchell released his debut album Comfort & Fear. On May 1st, the first single 'Monsters', featuring Asha, Tim Fawkes and a 30 strong Virtual Choir. The single peaked at #23 on the Amazon Best Sellers Chart, and raised funds for NHS Dorset County Hospital Charity, and not-for-profit community radio station AIR 107.2 in Weymouth.
